Based on the experiences of our guests (and a bit of ourselves) we have put together 'A lovely week in Bommelgaard' with lots of variety, nice things and good food. Imagine the following...
Day 1 Arrival at 2 pm, unpack, recover and then walk 1 ('the mandatory walk'), dinner at De Roskam.
Day 2 In the morning to Woudrichem and Heusden, walk through the fortified towns and lunch on site. Then to Castle Loevestein, end of the afternoon back, for dinner make yourself something tasty. Before or after dinner another walk or bike ride, for example to the lock of St Andries.
Day 3 In the morning you will cycle to Zaltbommel, walk through the town and have lunch on site. Then back, in the afternoon walk 5 ('across the peninsula'), dinner at De Gouden Molen.
Day 4 In the course of the morning to 's-Hertogenbosch, shopping and lunch in the city. In the afternoon shopping or sightseeing, a bite to eat in the city and back after dinner.
Day 5 In the morning by car to Beesd for a walk on the estate of Mariënwaerdt, lunch on the spot. Afterwards a choice of canoeing on the Linge near Deil or back to Bommelgaard to cycle to the Meuse, to relax in the Zandmeren, to pop down on one of the many beaches along the Waal or in the Hurnsche Kil or: to do nothing at all. Have something delivered for dinner.
Day 6 In the morning to Buren with lunch on the spot. After lunch back and in the afternoon lazing inside or outside. Maybe do one of the remaining walks. In the evening dinner at In Petto.
Day 7 In the early morning a walk around, check-out at 11 am. Leave the car for a while, cycle around until 1 pm, then leave for home or to the next place.
And of course it can all be shorter, longer and different, it's just an example!
